Savvy small businesses benefit from superb broadband subsidy

10th September 2018

broadband Broadband connection vouchers for small businesses worth £3,000 each are being given out now to SMEs by the Government. Great news for businesses currently struggling to compete with snail paced internet connections.

We love helping out micro and SME businesess and came across this gem in the Agent Update from the HMRC, tucked away at the back.

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport is giving businesses up to £3,000 against the cost of full fibre or “gigabit capable” internet connection.

The scheme is available for micro to medium sized enterprises including sole traders.

A small to medium sized enterprise is defined as one that employs fewer than 250 people and has an annual turnover not exceeding €50 million.

What is the Broadband Voucher Scheme?

The Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme was introduced in March 2018 by the Government and supports the cost of installing full fibre broadband connections direct to businesses

Fast and reliable gigabit-capable broadband speeds available can be a game changer for a small business so it’s a big leap forward that will benefit SMEs well into the future.

Savvy businesses looking to focus on their core business activity actively look for the things that will give them the edge. Outsourcing payroll is also a great way to remove the administrative burden and compliance issues from day to day work.
