Payroll Professionals shortlisted for CIPP Excellence awards.
National Payroll Week looks to celebrate the best the payroll industry has to offer and it’s great to see the shortlisted nominations for the Chartered Institute of Payroll coming out in advance of the week celebrating the value of payroll professionals to the smooth running of UK business.
If you didn’t think smooth running payroll is important to your business, then think again. The CIPP estimates that over 285 pieces of legislation impact on the industry in the UK alone, and over £416bn is collected through National Insurance and tax contributions. Getting it right is a complicated affair and dedicated payroll professionals often go the extra mile to ensure that the weekly or monthly payroll deadline is achieved. Get it right and no one takes a blind bit of notice. Get it wrong and you suffer the wrath of staff. Life for the UK working population depends on money going into personal bank accounts at the same time every week or month, so that bills can be paid, and lives can be lead. Bad payroll affects motivation, commitment and churn within any business.
IRIS FMP has been short-listed for the CIPP’s Payroll Service Provider of the Year 2018 award. The Annual Excellence Awards are the longest running awards in the payroll industry and, as such, are highly competitive and sought-after accolade.
Payroll and pensions play a significant strategic role in the UK economy.
The CIPP’s annual excellence awards recognise payroll and pension professionals who have made an outstanding contribution and demonstrated commitment to excellence in their profession. The winner will be announced at the CIPP Annual Excellence Awards on Thursday 11 October 2018 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
The Annual Excellence Awards judging took place using the AwardsPro online nomination system and the IRIS FMP nomination was assessed against the criteria outlined by five independent judges.
